How to redirect everything to HTTPS

Redirect all non-HTTPS traffic to HTTPS using htaccess

 RewriteEngine On
 RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !on [NC]
 RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]
